Counting the Quick Outs

Share

We’ve all seen rows of “K” signs at baseball games, counting the number of strikeouts by a pitcher on a given night. San Diego Padres fans, and apparently at least one other team, have taken to counting quick outs (those that take 3 pitches or less) and representing them with “Q” signs. (Please excuse the grossly low-quality camera-phone photos)

Its an interesting concept, and an out is an out, so you could argue that these quick outs lead to more efficent outings, but they sure won’t help your fantasy team.
