Orioles to Hold 2nd Annual Bobblehead Night for Player Demoted to Minors

As a long-suffering Orioles fan, nothing the inept O’s management does surprises me, but they’ve outdone themselves with this one.

Last year, the Orioles held a bobblehead night for outfielder Nolan Reimold, but unfortunately he was in AAA Norfolk after being terrible and/or hurt. Now they’ve decided to make it an annual affair.

Next Saturday, the first 20,000 fans will receive a bobblehead featuring starting pitcher Brian Matusz. He has also been sent down to the minors and has been terrible there as well, so as looks as though he won’t make it back to Baltimore in time to be honored.

As if that wasn’t terrible enough, they continue to advertise the promotion (photo via @WNST). Not surprising for a team that hasn’t sniffed the playoffs since I was in elementary school.

  1. I have an “Oriole” bobblehead and would like to know more about it. My dad just passed away and was a great Oriole fan. Is there a marked out there for this memorabilia?
