Last night, during the Bulls-Suns game, Flip Murray hit a ridiculous half-court hook shot with no time left at the end of the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately, he got it off just a second too late, but it’s still worth a look, but first, three random Flip Murray facts: real first name is Ronald; played for Division II Shaw University; has been with 7 teams since entering the league in 2002.

It’s March already, and Spring is on the way. College basketball is in full swing, opening day is right around the corner, and although we’re in the midst of free agency and the draft is coming up, we’re still almost six months away from meaningful football action. We miss it, and have decided to make our beloved football the subject of this week’s FTBOYT post. These two clips will remind you why we love football:

Just this past week, one of my favorite ESPN personalities, Scott Van Pelt, accidentally let a profanity slip before they were all the way to commercial. It’s been a rough week for SVP. First, he gets duped by a
Howard Stern listener pretending to be Brian Westbrook, and now he drops everyones favorite profanity before going to a commercial break tonight on SportsCenter. Been a long few days for him, but there’s a good chance he’ll be getting an impromptu weekend off. Obviously, be careful what company you’re in if you play this aloud.
